Resignations, Retirement, and Inter/Intra Campus Transfers

What to do when an employee resigns:

  • Send in their resignation notice (email or letter) via a voluntary separation case in Service Hub and note the last day of work

    • Attach the resignation notice (email or letter from employee)

    • Enter and approve final hours in caltime to avoid a delay in final pay

    • Encourage the employee to complete the UC Exit Survey sent by BRS HR

What to do when an employee retires:

  • Send in their resignation notice (email or letter) via a voluntary separation case via Service Hub and note the last day of work

    • Attach the resignation notice (email or letter from employee)

      • Resignation notice will include note that they are retiring and the date they intend to retire (must be at least 1 day following separation date/last day worked)

    • Enter and approve final hours in caltime to avoid a delay in final pay

What to do when an employee transfers to another department/UC campus:

  • Send in their resignation notice (email or letter) via a Transfer case in service hub

    • Attach the resignation notice (email or letter from employee)

    • Note in the case if they are transferring to another department or UC campus

    • Enter and approve final hours in caltime to avoid a delay in final pay with your department/campus

    • Encourage the employee to complete the Transfer Exit Survey sent by BRS HR
