Today, Patrick makes his official return to UC Berkeley where he previously served as the Director of Business Operations for the Division of Student Affairs from 2015 - July 2019. During his tenure, he managed a $350M operating budget, 41 departments, and 4,214 employees. He also orchestrated four (4) internal service center restructures for both union and non-union employees with a 5-year strategic plan to streamline administrative functions, increased customer satisfaction, strengthened adherence to campus policies, all while navigating budgetary constraints.
Since 2019, Patrick served as the Sr. Manager, Head of the Operational Finance Division at the University of Otago, in Dunedin, New Zealand. In this role, he had complete accountability across the University to lead, develop and manage Accounts Payable/Receivable, Student Tuition, Cashiering and Supply Chain Operations in a shared services environment. He also leads the Business Process Automation and Robotics Process Automation initiatives, contributing to their first ever digital automation Center of Excellence, creating 30,000+ redeployable hours back to the operations business in 2021. With the beginnings of the COVID-19 pandemic, Patrick managed the division’s Business Continuity Plan to maintain service levels while navigating the workforce move of >1,000 employees to work remotely. Patrick holds a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Management/Public Administration degree. His extensive resume of business operations outlines a series of superior achievements as well as cross-divisional collaboration and impactful strategic initiatives.

Dominga’s leadership during this time managing the dual interim BEARS RD role and her HR Supervisor role has been exemplary.
